We are a small rural Hospice in New Mexico and would really like to brainstorm with other Axxess Hospices about how they are managing their Bereavement program. Anyone out there willing to share?
Where am I?
In The Axxess Community you can ask and answer questions and share your experience with others!
Hi Erva,
Welcome to the Axxess Community. It is so good to see you here. Having a robust bereavement program is vital to the health of any hospice organization. We will be introducing new bereavement features in Axxess Hospice very soon. Please be on the lookout for the Release Notes. You will see them in the Axxess Hospice messaging center.
I am interested, if you are willing to share, how the pandemic has affected your bereavement program. What are some of your successes? What do you feel would benefit you most in building up your bereavement program? I am happy to share thoughts and ideas that I have used to ensure compliance while providing meaningful bereavement services.
Thank you for choosing Axxess. Best wishes to you and yours for a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.
I have my Chaplain, Tom here and he and I would love to provide input. We left Healthcare First which had a VERY good program and we are floundering in Axxess. The time necessary to gather info and get our letter out is daunting. We did hold a modified "Grief in the Holidays" program, where we had a number of our staff share with some of our families. It included in person and Zoom availability for all our bereaved families. While turnout was down from last year, it was really appreciated by the family members who did attend. We also held a virtual bereavement support group this fall and will look at another after the first of the year.
We anxiously await the updates and are available for input, if you like.
