Does anyone know why there are two different systems for Axxess: Home Health and Home Care? They both have to follow CMS guidelines and need the same information. I noticed there are features Home Care DOES NOT have but Home Health DOES.

Simply put, Axxess Home Health is meant to support those agencies who are mostly providing skilled services under the Medicare benefit, where as Home Care supports those agencies providing non skilled, private duty, pediatric, or skilled services under the Medicaid benefit. Kari, thank you for your prompt response. As you are aware CMS (MCR/MCD) requires the same information whether the patient is skilled or non-skilled. So when it comes to compliance and surveys they are not differentiating, so reports that are available through Home Health are not accessible in Home Care. Also, we would like to start picking up more skilled visits and if the patient is a dual (MCR/MCD) and needs skilled services we can "flip" them for the time being to MCR. So how would this be accomplished with Home Care? If we do start taking more skilled would we have to switch to Home Health? How would this affect the non-skilled patients?
