Is there a way to print/save as PDF the entire patient record for when you receive a request for medical records? Or do you have to do each individual note/encounter?
Good day Nicole . Thank you for reaching out to us in the User Community. The Home Health solution has a "Download" feature in the Schedule Center that enables users to download and print multiple documents at once or the entire patient chart. This feature is role-based and a request to add to your database is required. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Stephanie
Is this a permission I can add for any user or something I have to request Axxess to enable? If I can do it myself is it under company setup? I do not see it under permissions.
Last I tried, the download option is not effective and I still had to go line by line in the chart to print the attachments that are crucial to the visit note or activity. Meaning, if you're like us and you have docs that want to sign orders manaully, when we receive them in agency signed, we scan and upload the signed copy to the order activity in the chart. Downloading the chart will not print that signed order attachment, so it's going to build a chart without signatures on orders. This created an issue for us. I wish since they have the PCR set up for medicare that they'd make the option to build a chart just like PCR, for ALL payors so we can send what we want and need.
Also, when you do use the download, it still puts all the visit notes in separate files so you have to open and print each one separately instead of printing one file. Unless you purchase a separate program that will take all of the files and combine them into one document to print or save just one large document.
Stacey, I'm glad you're bringing up these points with the Download feature for a patient/client records/chart. I have asked how to do this in the Axxess HomeCare software. The attachments you are uploading to the visit note, are they PDF also? If no, would you be able to attach future attachments as PDF format?
I ask this because, if the Axxess system is generating a PDF document from all the visit notes and the attachments are also a PDF document format, then it would not be difficult to merge the PDF attachments in the batch process for the creation of the single PDF Patient/Client Chart/Records.
The PDF format was developed to allow multiple different system types to view a document the same as the author had created it. *.PDF = Portable Document Format
Terrence Yes, the uploaded attachments we place are PDF format. They merge if you're building the chart by check boxing all the documents you want in the chart build within the PCR center. But, if you download a chart-you get no attachments, only the pdf visit note in separate links so you cannot print the entire batch in one. You'd have to either use a program to merge them yourself or open each note to print- and then still have to go through the chart itself to print out attachments to that visit or order, in order to really have a complete chart.

I hope this helps
