What are some tips and tricks for keeping track of patients needing documents signed still or any other tips and tricks that have truly helped you while using Axxess that others may or may not know?

Multiple monitors are A MUST for anything that dips into scheduling.

To view multiple Agencies or different Branches at one time, use different browsers (Chrome and Firefox) or use one or more of them in Incognito/Private mode.

Shift + F5 forces the browser to reload the webpage completely instead of using the local cache (temp files on PC)

When the mobile app is not working correctly or is having issues, have the user power off their device completely and power it back on. (for some reason, the Axxess HomeCare app has always had this issue. memory leaks, bugs, internal temp variables getting scrambled?  I don't have the time to run the tests)

ALWAYS submit a ticket for issues.  The more tickets Axxess has on an issue, the more important they will see to resolve the issue. (Even enhancements, when we all need a feature or change it helps to voice the need)

Reach out to this community page as well as making a ticket.  There may be a temporary work around or others that express a need for the issue you are dealing with.

Password managers are helpful, but sometimes need fine tuning.  (I have found that the password and user entry fields are sometimes named differently in the webpage code that the password manager looks to auto-fill)

As I think of more, I will update this post or add another.

We are all here to achieve the same goal, patient/client care.  Let's build this community stronger than it was yesterday!

Brielle, thanks for posting your question in the Axxess User Community! I will give you a tip to be able to see what documents are needing to be signed. Our Schedule report can give you so much helpful information. One way to see what documents are needing to be signed and are in a saved status is to go to Schedule Tab> Schedule Report>set the filters to what you are searching for. You have the choice to filter by location, clinician, patient, date range and status of task as well as discipline. I would go in and familiarize yourself with all the information the Schedule Report is able to provide. Hope that helps

I totally agree! I have been going in and checking out schedule report and the entire report section. Very helpful! I was nervous to mess with those in case I messed something up with a patient's chart or billing but I recently have been self training myself and the help from all of you guys on here!

Can anyone help with figure this out. I’m trying to see the new icd10 codes I’ve added after a patient was admitted show up on their patient profile in their patient chart. Sometimes the ICD10 codes needed aren’t originally added when a patient is first created in Axxess and during QA we will add more diagnosis codes but when I go into their chart and click patient profile those updated new codes aren’t showing on the patient profile. How do I get them to appear on there?  Thank you for all your guys help and advice! I really appreciate it!

Hey Brielle!  Thanks for posting your question to Axxess User Community :)   Can you tell me how you are adding the new Dx codes during QA?  What form are you using or process you are following?

Hello Tony,

The processes we are using from start to finish is:

  • Click New (drop down menu)
  • Click on new "PATIENT"-fill in information
  • Choose the second tab that needs to be filled out "Clinical/Diagnosis" and this is where we are putting the ICD-10 codes that are the only ones that show on the Patient Profile in the "Patient's Chart" on Axxess.

Process To Add More ICD-10 Codes After Admitting Patient During Our QA Review:

  • Click "Home" (drop down menu)- Choose "QA QUALITY ASSURANCE"
  • Click the patient we need to review the SOC (start of care) and click the blue link
  • Under "PATIENT HISTORY & DIAGNOSIS" is where we are adding more ICD-10 codes to or removing some under the section "Diagnoses Symptom Control". The Doctor reviews the ICD-10 codes that were first put in during adding the patient and she will either add more or remove some that may be duplicates or similar to another. These new ICD-10 Codes are not added/removed from the Patient Profile after saving.

The only ICD-10 codes that appear in the Patient profile are the ones we first added when we created the patient in Axxess but the new ones we have added/we removed are not saving and showing up on the Patient Profile. Only the ICD-10 codes we first put in under the tab/section "CLINICAL/DIAGNOSIS" when creating new patient.

How can we have the ICD-10 codes add/removed show on to the Patient's Chart AFTER the patient has been admitted?

Afternoon @Brielle S !  Thanks so much for providing the steps you are taking to update the Diagnosis codes.  This is correct process to update/edit the initial Diagnosis codes from the Oasis D-1 Start of Care but want to make sure the Task is marked as being "Approved" in QA before you are looking for the changes. I did some testing on my side to confirm and if the Task is not cleared out of QA, it will not update the Diagnosis section accordingly.  However, my codes do update after making the edits and mark the SOC as "Approved".

If you are still experiencing issues with the Dx codes not updating correctly after taking these steps, please open a ticket so someone can review the flow.
